On Wednesday, December 6, Maplebrook hosted their first basketball game of the season against Glenholme. The Maplebrook Eagles started of strong and scored the first few points of the game. Ethan Chrystal put Maplebrook on the board early by scoring a couple of three point shots. Ransom Larson, who added to the scoreboard during the course of the game, did a great job coordinating his teammates through each play that they executed. Additionally, Gioia Taraboulsi, a first year student, did an excellent job in her debut game and managed to sink a basket. Back on defense, Nick Stauble used his height to his advantage and did a great job clearing out all opposing players. Overall, the Eagles played a great first half but lost some of that momentum towards the end of the game. Glenholme proved themselves as a second half team by landing almost every shot they took after halftime. Great job to all the players and please stay tuned for our next game at home on Thursday, January 11, 2018 vs. Sherman School at 3:45 PM.
