The softball team traveled to Glenholme on May 8th. With a sunny day and a break from the rain, the team was pumped up to take the field. To much of everyone’s surprise from the excitement, the team had a slow start as was quickly down 5-2 after the first inning. With frustrated faces, the team huddled and took the field with a renewed attitude to take on the second inning. Ransom and Zach turned a beautiful double play getting the team back on track. Along with a highlight play of the year by TD diving for a pop fly and making the catch, everyone was jumping up with enthusiasm. Smart base running by Sashane, Riley, Jillian and other team members, helped the Eagles capitalized with a 3 run homer by both Zach and Nick. This helped the Eagles claim their second straight win of the season with a final score 14-9. Well done Eagles on regaining focus and playing like a team for a great comeback! Their next game is at home against Sherman on May 16th.
