Our Students

Maplebrook serves students who need a different approach to learning than that provided by mainstream public schools. Our student body is comprised of a wide range of diverse learners with various attention and learning issues such as:

  • Executive Functioning deficiencies
  • Expressive and Receptive language deficits
  • Fine/Graphomotor Skills difficulties

A typical IQ range for our students is 70-95. Most have some sort of language-based learning disability, and many struggle with social skills and Executive FunctionsMaplebrook does not have the structures necessary to support students with a diagnosis of a behavioral disorder or severe emotional needs.

We recognize each student as an individual whose learning profile of unique strengths and challenges is so much more than their numerical scores, and seek to serve each learner in the specific ways he or she needs to thrive.
