Graduation 2018

Sunday, June 3rd:  Graduation 2018 – The weather was perfect and there was an air of excitement as the piper warmed up his bagpipes for the beginning of this year’s graduation.  Friends and family from around the world gathered to wish the graduates good luck as they entered the next phase of their lives.  If you missed graduation or would like to see it again, sit back and enjoy the video of graduation –

Dorm Decorating Contest

After many hours spent decorating the dorms for the holiday season, the results are in.  Winning in the Most Creative category is the girls’ dorm with their theme of Narnia.  The Most Traditional dorm was the boys’ dorm with their Charlie Brown Christmas theme.  The coveted Best Dorm was won by Fazzone Hall with their Polar Express theme.  Congratulations to all of the winners!  Great job!

Maplebrook Teacher Gerardo Amarillas Naturalized

For teacher Gerry Amarillas, affectionately known as “Mr. A,” August 4th marked the official beginning of his life as a naturalized U.S. citizen.  In addition to Mr. Amarillas, a total of 76 people from 33 countries were granted citizenship at a ceremony held at Maplebrook’s Whalen Hall.   Congratulations to all of the new U.S. citizens!  Learn more about the event at:




Summer Fun

Graduation 2017

Once again the weather held off for Maplebrook’s 2017 Graduation.  There were tears and cheers as the graduates gave their speeches.  The Keynote Speaker, Dr. Pamela Edington, spoke to us about listening to the students.
