Importance of Giving
Maplebrook is proud of its
mission to prepare students with the character and skills needed to be
productive members of today’s society. Therefore, it's difficult to
overemphasize the impact and importance of this educational
opportunity. While this can be said of most private school experiences,
there’s something truly inspiring about our campus. A school is made of
more than bricks and mortar; simply taking a tour one can sense the
commitment, respect, expertise, and dedication of the community at
large.
The expense in providing such
individualized, structured, and specialized programming is often a
foreign concept to many and cannot be covered by tuition dollars alone.
Fundraising is one way in which Maplebrook bridges the gap between
tuition revenue and operating/capital expenses. In addition to our
annual fund and special events, the school directs occasional capital
campaigns to finance specific building projects, such as Rossman Hall
and the expansion and renovation of the current academic complex.
Scholarships and other forms of financial aid are now available to
students of ability, character, and diversity who were not able to
attend our School in years past. Computer technology is available
throughout the campus and classrooms, dormitories, and the grounds are
beautifully maintained. Maplebrook also maintains funds dedicated to
staff development and has a planned giving program called the Merck Legacy Fund.
It is clear that the
generosity of those who care so much about Maplebrook has had a major
impact on our campus and its people. Thanks to the support of
Maplebrook alumni, parents, friends, and faculty/staff, our students
and teachers have been able to experience the same enriching, cultural,
social and recreational benefits afforded to students in any other
independent school. Whatever your affiliation with Maplebrook (alumni,
parent, past parent, grandparent, friend), we hope that you will please
consider making a gift to the school.
