Merck Legacy Fund
From its founding in 1945 through today, Maplebrook has had many philanthropic supporters who have provided the means necessary for the School to continue meeting the needs of a population too often neglected in our educational system. Given the knowledge that tuition only partially met the School's needs, these individuals have generously provided the support required to create new programs and enhance facilities during Maplebrook's history.
To recognize and honor those who have provided support through their estate planning, Maplebrook founded the George and Serena Merck Legacy Fund several years ago. The Legacy Fund was named for the Merck family, early and long time benefactors of Maplebrook. Mr. and Mrs. Merck were affiliated with Maplebrook from its founding in 1945 to 1985 and worked tirelessly to ensure the survival and development of the School.
You are cordially invited to join the George and Serena Merck Legacy Fund by remembering Maplebrook in your estate planning. If you have already named the school in your will, please let us know and give us the opportunity to thank you properly so that we may also include you as a member of the Fund. If you have not done so, we hope you will contact us so we can provide you with information and assistance in planning your bequest to Maplebrook and membership in the Merck Legacy Fund.
Through many bequests, both large and small, we can ensure the long term financial well-being of our school and feel confident that future generations will continue to benefit from Maplebrook services. As one donor phrased it, "Maplebrook is a jewel well worth preserving." Please join the preservation by remembering Maplebrook in your estate planning.
