Campus & Facilities
Located in the foothills of the Berkshires 90 miles north of New York and 180 miles west of Boston, Maplebrook is ideally situated in an area that is rural yet not remote. There is much to explore in the beautiful Hudson River Valley! And when students and staff return from their exploring, our campus is a safe, convenient, and comfortable place to study, work, and live.
98 acres, 29 buildings—including 17 classrooms, 2 computer labs, 1 science lab, library with 7,000+ volumes, fully-equipped auditorium, sound-proof music practice rooms, private rooms for tutoring and Speech & Language therapy, and offices in Thalheimer Hall. Our beautiful art building and Merck Interfaith Chapel are adjacent to the schoolhouse. Athletic Facilities include a 18,000 square-foot gym, weight & fitness room, tennis courts, athletic fields, and heated swimming pool. Students also have access to an internet cafe with a school store and dance floor. Our four academic dorms (Marjorie Finger and Woodcliff Halls for girls, and Evans and Fazzone Halls for boys) include common rooms and study areas with computer access. Faculty and staff reside in dorms.
Facilities for Maplebrook’s ICCS program are located on the west side of Route 22, just across the road from Maplebrook’s main campus. The ICCS campus includes a student center, the Etkin Environmental Center and greenhouse, Millpond, and housing for ICCS students and staff with kitchen and dining areas.
Maplebrook has a Health Office in the main school building, with nursing staff on campus 7 days a week, 7:30 a.m. to 9:00 p.m. We are 4.5 miles from Sharon Hospital in Sharon, CT, and there are several other health and dental services available in the area.
