R.I.S.E. Program — Building Confidence, Responsibility & Life Skills for Students with Learning Differences Program

The R.I.S.E. Program is designed to help students with learning differences build self-esteem, take responsibility, and develop the values they need to make positive choices and lead fulfilling lives. The RISE Program – Core Skills Developed 

The RISE Program focuses on five key areas of student development. With consistent practice and positive reinforcement, children develop a strong personal foundation for success in school and in life: 

  • Self-Esteem & Confidence: Students earn credit for real accomplishments, slowly replacing doubt with a real confidence in their abilities. 
  • Executive Functioning Support: Daily structure and coaching assist students develop planning, time management, and task initiation abilities – all areas that are problematic for many neurodivergent learners. 
  • Responsibility & Accountability: Every student learns to assume responsibility for their choices, activities and growth in a caring, non-punitive environment.

About the Author

Roger A. Fazzone, Ed.D. earned his BA in psychology from Fairfield University, a Master’s in psychology from Pepperdine University, certification in School Psychology while attending New York University and his Doctorate at Nova Southeastern University.

 His more than forty years working with students with learning issues has afforded him rich experiences which contribute to the R.I.S.E. Program.
