Maplebrook offers an unforgettable educational experience – where our students can achieve academic excellence in encouraging and supportive surroundings, while also feeling confident to grow personally and take full advantage of the extensive enrichment opportunities provided in both the Academy and the Institute for Collegiate and Career Studies. We provide extensive extra-curricular opportunities and encourage every student to develop existing talents while trying something new as well. The aim of Maplebrook is to provide each student with opportunities in a supportive environment and ensure that they achieve the most from their potential. With this in mind, we take pride in celebrating all our students' achievements, whether academic, athletic, vocational, or by way of good character.
Athlete of the MonthRansom has shown true excellence in basketball, leading with points in many games and organizing the team during practices and warm ups. A genuine leader in every extent, Ransom encourages his teammates, coaches others through positive praise and supportive techniques, and helps out on and off the court. He is a role model to his peers, and his work ethic and polite manners are of high caliber. Ransom always brings 110% to everything he does, and as Aristotle once said: “We are what we repeatedly do. Excellence, then, is not an act, but a habit.” Ransom exemplifies this throughout his leadership and abilities, every day. |
Employee of the MonthCongratulations to Hannah Ireland for being selected for the ICCS Employee of the Month. Hannah works in both the Maplebrook School administration office, and the Dover/Wingdale Library. Hannah has an untiring work ethic and always goes above and beyond to get the job done. In the administration office, Hannah is relied upon to type and file important documents, make copies, take messages, greet visitors, and distribute mail. At the library, Hannah sorts and organizes books, checks in returning books, and assists with general library upkeep. We are very proud of Hannah this year, and look forward to her continued vocational success. Keep up the good work, Hannah! |
